Day 4 – The Lord’s Prayer – Father God, sometimes the hurt and pain in each of us can become such strongholds that it prevents us from ushering in your love to bring unity in our lives, homes, communities and nations. Instead, we can so easily get pulled into what we see in this world when we really need freedom from it all. You tell us to forgive those who have hurt us to find the release we need, but we cannot do it without you. And as Jesus said in His word, when we don’t know what to pray, we should pray this, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.” Thank you Father that we can come to you when we are so lost and hurting to receive healing we need to be free to shine your love onto others.
