Day 6 – Prayer of Help – As we wrap up the last two days of pray, I could not write the words any better than King David’s beautiful words in the Psalms. The first one I want to share is about who do we look to in times of need and why. Won’t you join with me. “Father God, I come before you looking for insight, direction, and help as we continue this climb of uncertainty and heightened emotions not knowing what we will find at the top. As Psalm 121, song of ascents, states
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
I am ever so grateful that I have you Lord to affix my eyes to as I grab onto your hand and continue to lead me and watch over me, my family, community, and our nation. As we move forward towards this election process, I will continue to keep my eyes fixed on you and not what is happening around me. May it bring peace to my soul and permeate the atmosphere and cover each and every one of us in peace. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
